Denim Day 2017

In honor of April being Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Center is reaching out to businesses and individuals in all six counties we serve to participate in Denim Day on April 26th. Denim Day began in 1998 after an Italian Supreme Court judge overturned a rape conviction because the victim wore tight jeans. Wearing jeans became an international symbol of protest against erroneous and destructive attitudes about sexual assault. Individuals/Businesses wishing to participate can support this cause by donating $5.00 to wear jeans on April 26th or $10.00 to wear jeans on this day, as well as every Friday during the month of April. All proceeds will benefit client services at Center for Survivors.

If you wish to participate in Denim Day, please call us at (402) 564-2155.  Your support to help spread awareness for this cause and empower victims is greatly appreciated!
