February is nationally recognized as Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.  In an effort to raise awareness on dating violence and promote healthy relationships, join us in wearing ORANGE on Tuesday, February 14th.  Use the hashtag #Orange4Love or tag the Center for Survivors on any of our social media pages.

Dating violence, like domestic violence, can include various forms of abuse including physical violence, verbal abuse, or sexual abuse.  If you have questions on dating violence, please see the following warning signs or call our free and confidential hotline at 1-800-658-4482

Warning signs of dating violence include:

  • Your partner repeatedly accuses you of being unfaithful
  • Your partner constantly calls or texts to see where you are and who you are with
  • Your partner punches or breaks things when they are frustrated
  • Your partner blames you for everything that goes wrong in the relationship
  • You stop hanging out with your friends as a result of your relationship
  • Your partner puts you down or calls you names in front of others
  • Your partner does not like your friends, nor do they like it when you want to hang out with your friends apart from them.
