Denim Day with logo

 In honor of April being Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Center reached out to businesses and individuals in all six counties we serve to participate in Denim Day on April 27th. Denim Day began in 1998 after an Italian Supreme Court judge overturned a rape conviction because the victim wore tight jeans. Wearing jeans became an international symbol of protest against erroneous and destructive attitudes about sexual assault. Individuals/Businesses participating supported this cause by donating $5.00 to wear jeans on April 27th or $10.00 to wear jeans on this day, as well as every Friday during the month of April. All proceeds will benefit client services at Center for Survivors. Your support to help spread awareness for this cause and empower victims is greatly appreciated!
