Volunteer Opportunities

We want to find the volunteer opportunity that is the best fit for your skills, interests, and schedule.  Whether you are a student, retiree or anywhere in between, we would love to have you on our team!  Training and support are provided.

Hotline Advocates:

We are looking for good listeners.  You will respond to crisis calls when the office is closed from your phone, providing first response to clients in crisis.  THis position involves some direct contact with clients.  A flexible schedule is available.  Training and support are provided.

On-Call Childcare:

When staff meet with a mother in crisis on the weekend, a volunteer is occasionally needed to watch the client’s children at the office.  Volunteer on-call is for one weekend at a time.

Winterization:

Scooping walks, plastic on shelter windows, seasonal cleaning

Sexual Assault Awareness Month:

Volunteers needed to set up clothesline display in service area.  Distribute agency brochures and sexual assault awareness information.  Assist with vigil and preparation.  There are many ways to be involved with this important month.

Summer Sizzle Fundraiser Help:
